Weide returns to Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm to direct his 28th episode of the series, "Never Wait For Seconds!" Weide was the Principal Director and Executive Producer of "Curb" for the first five seasons, and directed the original one-hour special upon which the series was based. During that time, he received a Golden Globe award, an AFI Award, nine Emmy award nominations (winning "Best Comedy Direction" for his episode "Krazee-Eyez Killa"), a DGA (Directors Guild of America) Award nomination for "The Carpool Lane," and a DGA win for comedy direction for "Palestinian Chicken" — one of the most lauded episodes of the entire series. (Scroll down for reviews.)

Weide has been equally rewarded for his documentary work, which has focussed primarily on American comedians and humorists. He has received five Emmy nominations for his documentaries, winning twice, for W.C. Fields Straight Up and Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth, which also received an Oscar nomination for best feature documentary. His latest documentary, Kurt Vonnegut: Unstuck in Time will be released in 2018.

An instant classic.
-- Brian Lowry, Variety

“Palestinian Chicken,” is one of the most outrageous episodes ever.
-- Brian Hiatt, Rolling Stone

Curb’s most uproarious episode of the season. One of the best and most satisfying in a while. A savage farce.
-- Matt Roush, TV Guide

Directed by Robert B. Weide, "Palestinian Chicken" pushes its comedy provocation style to envelope-pushing, jaw-dropping levels.
--David Bianculli, NPR

A spirited assault on political correctness.
-- Alessandra Stanley, New York Times

The "did they really just go there?" element that (Curb) thrives on may reach its pinnacle with “Palestinian Chicken.”
-- John Sellers, The Wrap

Hilarious. With ludicrous precision, it manages to lampoon both the Middle East situation and the controversy over the Islamic center near Ground Zero.
-- James Poniewozik, Time

Directed by Curb mastermind Robert B. Weide… back in fine form with vintage Jewish humor.
-- Eric Kohn,

Curb returns, kicking ass… sublime and over the edge.
-- Roger Friedman – Showbiz411

Great comedy… joyful and clever.
-- Matthew Gilbert, Boston Globe

New viewers should start watching now. Witty and laugh-out-loud funny.
--Tom Conroy, Media Life

Delectable. An ingenious blend of high wit and low comedy… reveals a heightened ambition and a reach for complexity that exceeds any the series has shown before. (Curb) shows no signs of slowing down.
-- Dorothy Rabinowitz, Wall Street Journal
